We’re trying hard to stay at home. It’s not easy. It’s a real zoo over here.
This is a detail of a painting I’m presently working on. I love painting marble. It’s truly an exciting challenge trying to paint its luminous qualities. The modeling and value changes are so subtle. Sometimes I wish I were a sculptor.
Nice to do some work close to home. When I work in gouache I think about design more than color and also the use of hard edges rather than soft ones.
